MSE is some good free Anti-Virus but I do miss Windows Live OneCare. It was about on the same level as Kaspersky at the time :(

Steven I have installed the pre-release and then let windows update actually update the engine but I was trying to actually run the update silently but couldn't figure out any silent or unattended switch for the update. Any chance you know how to do this?
    Thanks

EDIT: I actually figured it out: exe /q /s

You can also use the /o command so that MSE won't check for updates after MSE has been installed!:)

I had previously been installing the exe with /s /runwgacheck /o and not that the 4.2.223.1 Final is out I was going to use the same switches...

First post has been updated, and the Pre-Release version is still available for testers to test future builds.

Looks like the 64-bit version of v4.2 is corrupted from the Microsoft server. Microsoft is aware of this and is working on a fix.

    EDIT:

After about 2 weeks, Microsoft finally fixed the 64-bit download.
