    Hello everyone!

I'm facing a strange issue with Microsoft Store. When I try to run it, it closes unexpectedly. I'd run sfc /scannow or th re-register command at Powershell but the problem still happens.

Is there any way to fix it?

    OS ver: 19041.488

    Thanks

    Try this
    1. Open settings
    2. click Apps
    3. find in table Microsoft Store and click on it
    4. if opens, You'll see there Advanced options, click on it
    5. new table opens, find there Reset and click it
    if needed, follow instructions
PS. Forgot, You may need logoff or maybe even restart Windows after that.

See if the Cache folder is empty, if not, make empty and try then.
    Folder location
    Code:
    %localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe
    Clear content of folder LocalCache

If it also won't help and You're sure, everything else is OK, You may try to reinstall Microsoft Store manually using PowerShell (run as administrator).

Yes, the cache folder is empty. I'd try to reinstall it using PowerShell and the issue is still there. I've just tried Wsreset.exe and it doesn't work too...

    Thanks

There is also Troubleshooter for it, but one more question - didn't uninstall something before it happens or maybe You used some registry cleaner, maybe there was cleaned some so called empty registry key?
Do You know where to find this troubleshooter?

Open Settings => Update & Security => on right select Troubleshoot and if new table opens, find Additional troubleshooters, click on it and there nearly bottom is Windows Store Apps => click on it and then You'll see new button "Run the trobleshooter"

    Hi,

I don't use any kind of registry cleaners since I don't want to mess up Windows. I didn't uninstall anything either.
I'd try running the troubleshooter and the fixes that it did apply didn't worked for the issue.

    Thanks

OK, then I can't think of anything smart anymore. Maybe somebody else recommends something good.
Are all other Store apps working normally?

Interestingly, you didn't notice that re-registering and even reinstalling this app has already been recommended and also done, but there was no result.
The Windows Club tool does absolutly the same and nothing more.
There can only be one conclusion from this - the problem is not with this app, but in reality there is quite likely a problem with the Windows registry what is very likely damaged and needs to repair or restore.

I noticed that but it wasn't clear whether specific app re-register was applied or for all apps. Mentioned app does it for all by default.

    Maybe another inplace upgrade first?

    @antonio8909
One thing you haven't tried yet - enable the built-in administrator account and see if Store works there.
If it works, all you have to do is create a new account for Yourself and transport your files there. If done, simply delete old account.
So You don't need to reinstall.

Do you have an N version of Windows? If yes, install the media pack.

    It works!

What do you mean? Download the Windows 10 ISO and upgrade the system?

    Thanks

    Great! Are you saved then/now?
My opinion is that you can now even keep your old account if you can find/find out what the real problem is. This is a problem with your account only, not with Windows. And the hint is what I've already said - it's a registry problem. There something lost or missing.
If you can find this error in the registry, or you can use this admin account to make a copy of the registry, you may be able to get your old account working.

It worked! Now the Store is back and running! Thank you!

I don't know what did caused this issue but now it dissapeared with the in-place upgrade
