There is any way to prevent Microsoft Teams App to automatically install during first Internet connection (I know that I can uninstall it, or disable it to run at startup, or simply ignore it)?
There is way to remove uup app after installing first time With little tweak to prevent it re install again
I use a custom image with Sysprep. The I use a high customized image with sysprep. During sysprep the OS remove most of the UWP apps (too many, to tell the truth… eg I need to re-enable Windows Security UI and Microsoft Store with an automated script during first starup). Microsoft Teams is removed, but during first connection it installs again. I need a way to deny it. If I correctly understand, your command don't deny the installation, but hide the icon app only. If you have a command for my needs, I can add it to my script and test it.
it remove Chat, Widget from system Level. Also remove teams --> [ Teams == Chat ]. and in case of UUP version installed, prevent it from Reinstall itself. thank to our friend crypticus with his icacls Idea. [ plus >echo. Trick ] Edit Update to Xd v2.0
I've being trying to prevent Microsoft Teams auto installation too with no lucky. just tried this xd file and didn't work VirtualBox fresh install build 22000.258 with LAN disconnected executed "xd.cmd" and Chat Icon gets removed (and other stuff from script) restarted, enabled Lan connection... Microsoft Teams Gets Installed so annoying... does it worked for you @alessio89g ?
No, also for me it doesn't working, so I gave up, at least until (and if) someone will share a working solution here…
It's working I don't have teams icon anymore I can only thing of few reasons it will not work This script re lunch himself as system ? It run twice, first time as admin. Sec time as system.
Ok, I'll try the new script soon. One more thing: when I runned the first script, it also removed Teams Win32 app installed with Office 2021. I would like to keep it; how can I edit the script in order to do it?
