    I see Teams becoming what Skype should have become or simply becoming a better Skype in pandemic time.

    What do you think about this new Microsoft Teams Preview for Windows 11?

    What to think... maybe what to think at all about Microsoft doings?
    Microsoft has proven in a very figurative way for a long time that they can't think of anything that works and more less do make something that works.
    Nothing will change if only change its name and appearance.
    They could be involved all their forces in creating a working OP system and the professionals could be involved their brains and forces in creating necessary and working applications.
    But as long as one monopoly company tries to deal with everything, nothing good will come of it. You can see it already for tens years.
    It would be time for them to stop just proving their necessity and actually start making up their OP system that works. But till now they only make cosmetic impruvements and nothing fundamental.
    Spending 20 years to change the look of the corners is a little too little.
    PS. Skype was also bought to be developed and used, the result is visible to everyone - it was rendered unusable.

    Is it gonna be like their desktop client which puts chrome to shame in ram usage?

    It takes up 1.5 gig of ram easily during usage and at least 500 mb at idle. On top of that if you are unfortunate enough to be running it from a HDD, it will slow down your drive to a crawl with I/O usage.

    No way to understand what you are talking about.
    What is the so-called "it" and "it takes", what is "gig" and what is 500 mb?
    And if 500 mb means 500 millibits, it's an infinitely small size compared to the hundreds of huge gigabytes that are regularly stored and overwritten on your hard drive. But if it is some kind of RAM usage, then it's very small and don't affect any way hard drive.

    I really do not like your patronizing tone mate. Why so pedantic?

    It = Microsoft Teams Desktop Client
    Takes = uses to run
    gig = Gigabyte
    mb (implied MB) = Megabyte

    As I already said, the desktop client easily takes up 1-2 GIGABYTE of RAM during use (e.g., during screen sharing) and 500 MEGABYTE at idle. The client is equivalent to a pile of pure unadulterated bovine excrement.

    Is it clear now? Or do I need to explain what a RAM is to you?

    Look, Comrade Professor, not everyone is as smart as you. And so it is, if you don't understand, have to ask.
    What to do if don't understand, I'm sorry, sir.
    Don't be upset and don't be angry for long! It's not good for Your health.

    Mind to elaborate ?

    So, Teams is a "strapped down" Windows 11...like Chrome OS ? Or is it an app inside of a (strapped down) Windows 11 ?

    And Windows 365...is a simple link in a internet browser with login credentials...to enter a Windows inside the cloud ?
