The only thing is, is WHS2 requires a 64-bit CPU.

    No, WHS2 requires a 160GB HD.

Well, of course it's this my problem.

In the HD of 160 Gb, ALL OK! ;)

    Thanks!

    160 Gb is too much?

Then go & buy new HD, I bet you can not even find as small as 160Gb available

What I mean is my HD is 80GB, I'd have to go buy a new HD to try WHS2.

I have this installed, and am running it on my homeserver now. Since this is beta, I do not want to migrate my files to the main "HDD" the only way to share the files using the online web server is to add the other hard drives to the main data storage. Has anyone found a way to do this with out adding it to it? It deletes the files and having 1 TB deleted requires me to backup to another 1TB, I do not have this space to sit around just to test this beta. Anyone with a little insight please let me know.

Anybody running Vail, Im wondering if there is a built in way to backup the data stored on the server to another server. Currently the only built-in way to backup the data on the server is to an external drive (which isn't particularly feasible for me).
I'm probably going to going with WHS, and I have 2 servers, each with 5 x 1.5TB drives (for now), one I made just for having a full off-site backup, and was wondering if they added any way to do it without needing extra software.

Based on the expiration date id say RTM is around april-july.

Tip: If you dont feel like migrating your data and having it be split up over your hard drives a simple trick is to share your folder exactly as you want it named, then use the dashbaord to add the share with the exact name. Also bitlocker can be used if you use the server manager and enable the bitlocker feature. So far i've found no retail key will activate this out of the box, ive tried every windows 7 and 2008, 2008R2 key on my msdn nothing works.

Since this was meant to be a small office/home interface, can you set the server up to be a Domain controller?

If not, Can it at least join a domain? This was a big problem in WHS1

Its not for a home office... its just for media @ home so no DC... MS will never enable DC on any of their home server products
