microsoft windows not responding

    yeah im running windows 10 10240 and everytime I boot the laptop it will hang and come up saying Microsoft windows is not responding any idea if it could be a driver issue?

    What is you configuration ? (ram, graphic card...)

    its a dell inspiron 15 intel core I3 4gb ddr3 memory and intel hd 3000 graphics

    That's just Microsoft's way of letting you know your copy is genuine and permanently activated.

    @Wolf69 you dell inspiron have may be a switchable graphics no ? With you Intel HD graphics 3000 have you AMD or nvidia graphics card ? When you product has been released ?

    im running the hd graphics 3000 that's the video card

    Can you get to the desktop? If yes dig into event viewer and look for errors in Windows logs

    yes it loads to desktop I just cant do nothing for a good 4 mins it acts like the windows isn't responding

    Go to event viewer and look for errors that indicate a system hangup. Also go to Task manager > Startup > Disable everything. Maybe your laptop hdd has disk error, also maybe corruption in system files. Also could be just a bad installation. Try a safe boot.

    First look into Event viewer for clues.

    More information required.

    try changing your power settings to high performance.

    I did safe mode and it works fine no hang ups

    thats a driver issue.....most likely video.

    yeah I updated the chipset driver and its working better so far

    processor is the 2nd generation and graphics is the intel hd graphics 3000
