Migrate Computer Backups from Vail Beta 1 to Vail RC/RTM

    Anyone have any ideas on how to do this?
    I can't get it to work by just copying a directory...

    Thanks. For the main directories, copying to an intermediate hard drive isn't so bad as storage is pretty cheap - but where I'm just stuck is with the backups of client computers (stored in Server Folders\Network Computer Backups in Beta 1 and in Server Folders\Client Computer Backups in RC1). Copying those doesn't seem to work, they are unrecognized in RC 1.

    Ideas?

    RC1 is completely different from the Beta - no drive extender etc. You might be able to "copy" from RC1 to RTM, but it probably won't be supported by Microsoft.
    A better idea is to try to upgrade or reinstall (as it were) from RC1 to RTM. If I remember correctly you could upgrade from one Win7 beta to the next.
