Quick ?: Does anyone know if I can run mini KMS Activator on a VM host to activate a Windows 7 (Pro/Ent) machine on the network? I connect to the host machine with "slmgr.vbs -skms hostmachine:1688" of course.

I've run it successfully across a network with real machines (even running on XP), and I read another user who mentioned running it in a VM.

If you are having problems, what network emulation mode are you using, and what messages (if any) do you get in the KMS program, and also in Windows when you try and activate.

Thanks, I needed to know it works over the network. Tried a few different Pro/Ent ISO and finally got it to activate last night.

Hey, just a pre-caution. I would be careful with that activator dude. According to ESET the KMService.exe connects to a remote server(If it was really only emulation you would not need an open internet connection) and the connections along with the file are rated moderately risky. The KMService also creates a file in the system32 folder called srvany.exe, now whereas virustotal said the file was clean ESET also flagged it as "Moderately Risky." The strange thing is that the ZWT Keygen does not connect to an internet server or gets flagged at all so it tells me that the creators of the MiniKMS activator modded it so it could act like a virus or something. Just saying dude. I would try Tuvi's method being how he used the original ZWT Emulated keygen.
