I'd like to start a thread on how to find out which CPUs are supported by a specific AMI8 BIOS. Target: "ASUS P4P800-VM" mainboard because of its long BIOS revision history and possibility to compare different BIOS binaries. Latest BIOS revision here is v1018, but v1014 description says "Support new CPUs". Questions are: Which new CPUs are supported by v1014 compared to older v1013 ? Where exactly are the (code) location(s) where the BIOS decides if a CPU is compatible or not ?
