Hello, I am currently running Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB 2015.. I've done some research and realized there is now a 2016 version dubbed "Enterprise S" is this true? If so where can I obtain it? I've also read that Windows Server 2016 would be a good desktop option when it's released, because it doesn't have all the bloatware modern apps, and Cortana, etc installed directly into it.. is this true? Should I stay on LTSB? If so..where can I get the 2016 version? or is there a 2016 version? Thank you!
Server 2016 is the cleanest W10 flavor. If you need, for some reason, a more updated OS is the way to go. But keep in mind that if you don't have any specific need the current LTSB is obviously fine.
There likely will be, yes. Abbodi has posted many times that MS planned on issuing a version a year after the original 2015 version. If I had to guess, it will likely be available when the rest of the MSDN files go online. It will probably be Aug 1st or 2nd. It could happen earlier. I don't know. MS doesn't really announce when MSDN files will be available AFAIK.
There are many of us running the 14352 Enterprise S build that has now expired. I've not had a chance to look at Server 2016 TP yet but Enterrpise S is by far the cleanest and less intrusive build I've seen so far. I'm anxious to see it released. Hopefully in the next week or two!
