Just curious if anyone out here that has an intel D945GTP mobo? If so, I have a question for you. Plz let me know. thx
Ok, When I dual boot or tri-boot my PC, I have to wait 3 minutes from pressing the the start up botton on my PC until I see the option of what system I want to boot into. Why is this happening and does anyone else have this issue? I have done a complete format of the hard drives (2) of my system and have done fresh installs of all OS's. thx
Do you have a floppy drive hooked up to the system? I you don't, make sure the bios is set to no floppy also. I had an issue like this and it seemed the system (not the same MB) was looking for a floppy that wasn't there, and took forever to boot.
You can also try making sure all your drivers are updated, that would cause a bit of conflict as well(had that driver issue awhile back).
It is not a loader issue because I have never used a loader before 3 weeks ago and this issue has been happening for about 9 months now since I dual booted XP and vista. It begins to happen just after I press power button and does the count in lower right hand corner. Then I get a blinking cursor in the top left hand corner of my screen for 3 mins until I see system boot option. Any ideas guys why this does this? thx
I'm not talking about an activation loader... That screen where you choose your OS? That's a boot loader. When you turn on your PC, press Del/F1/F2 over and over til you get into your BIOS settings. There should be some options for things like.. extended memory check, quick boot, etc. Also, you could disable booting from your floppy disk drive (or disable it all together)... especially if you don't have one.
may be i may answer your question, you are facing this problem most probably one of ur drive which contains an OS is around 10 GB or less, if this is correct then u must have to increase the site of ur that partition, this will solve ur problem.
Twiz, the bootloader is from Win 7 so would that be bootmrg? I do not see anything in Bios about booting fro a floppy. The only thigs I see are boot from optical drives, boot to removable drives boot to network and USB boot. They are all set to enabled. I don't see any entries for extended memory or quick boot. thx
