We know that BIOS with very old release date can cause some problem for installing and/or activating WIN7. I just wonder if we can use tools such as hex editor to modify the release date inside BIOS file before or after inserting/modifying SLIC Table?
Wuhoatu, As of now there is no evidence that old bioses are causing any problems. I have a Phoenix bios dated 2005. Added slic 2.1 to it with the Phoenix mod tool. Now have a beautifully working win7 install, oem activated. Passed WAT. So as of now theres no reason to worry.
Yeah. I have no worry. Simply just an idiea. Because a system with very old release date of BIOS should be too weak to run WIN7 smoothly.
lol...bios has very little to do with how your computer runs. that depends on your cpu and gpu capabilities, RAM, bus speeds.
