Way back in the day I routinely modified .ini files to make Windows NT or 2000 drivers work in unsupported OS versions. I'm guessing it's not as easy these days. Has anyone been able to modify the RTX 3000 series drivers to work in LTSB 2015? I've searched for 20 minutes now but haven't been able to find any guides. It's not helpful to get into why I want to remain on older LTSB.
Or maybe we can tell the OS to spoof itself as a different OS? Like, if the driver only checks one file for version, we could change that OS file to say it's a newer version of 10? EDIT: Another 25 minutes of research and it looks like there are no options for what I want. If I really need LTSB then I'll have to look at trading my 3080 for an old 1080 ti or something.
The last Nvidia card I owned was the Riva 128 in 1997 or so, but what you ask should be pretty easy to accomplish. You need to modify the .inf file(s) changing what's after "NTamd64" (it should be more or less self explanatory). Then you need to disable the signature enforcement (and reboot), before being able to install the modified driver.
not possible because nvidia have dll to check os kernel , old post on msfn about rtx 2080 on ltsb 2016.. use ltsc 2019 with rtx 3080 older ltsc not supported with old ltsc before ltsc 2021 nvidia rtx are not full features capability
