Can i simply use this utility found in Asus AMI Bios to flash it (i've done it twice already with regular bioses) with the .ROM file found through the download link to the modded bios for my motherboard that i found in the Slic 2.1 Modded bios list (M3N78-VM)?

    Thank you!

It might work but is not recommended.
It is Recommended that you flash from DOS with the Appropriate flash tool (AFUDOS.exe) for your BIOS.
As long as you know how to recover from a failed flash you can try, it may or may not work.

I have an ASUS P5Q SE2 and I used EZ Flash 2 and everything worked fine with the BIOS I modded using the AMI mod tool :)

Alright, how do i get into dos before windows (no floppy)? where do i put the hp.xrm.ms file? do i change the name M3N78-VM-ASUS-1303.ROM to something like M3N78VM.ROM to make it easier?

    Thank you

Put a link to the one that you are going to use.
If it's on the list here and Modded by a member that has done multilple mods, I'm sure you can trust it.

Most people modding here have done hundreds of BIOS mods.

    It works!

I put the modded .ROM file on the formatted USB i had and used EZ flash. Then used Slic Dump toolkit to verify that Slic 2.1 was in bios. Finally, i used 7loader's SLIC IN BIOS option to activate 7.

Success! Consider the M3N78-VM bios ver. 1303 modded file in your list as a good working one.

Thank you so much for helping me with this.
