Hi, 911medic has replied in his previous post... You have to make a bootable USB flash drive (Google is your friend), put your Bios & flashspi.exe on it, reboot your PC and make it boot on your flash drive. But BEWARE : flashing a motherboard BIOS, specially with a modded one, can brick it, making your PC unable to boot and your mobo dead !! Are you sure you're able and willing to do so ?? ++
You mean with @BIOS utility? Create a folder in your system partition (c: ) and put in there the bios file that you want to flash (the original or the modified one). Then use @BIOS utility to load the bios file in that folder (this way you are sure that you select correct bios file)
These mods are tested over and over. Gigabyte is by far the easiest Award bios to mod. SSv3 is consistent. Make a boot disk, out the files on it and flash...Do it or dont, but you have to make a freakin choice....Jeeesh.. There has been NO bricks from SSv3 gigabyte ep45 boards...Using the flashspi anyhow. We have had a few not act right or activate after winflash..winflash is bad juju...
Why don't people ever refer to their motherboard manufacturers web site or read the manual and in regard to flashing their bios?
And if you do not want to mod BIOS or use a loader then just wait until retail keys get out and see what the community puts together as far as activation bypass methods and anti wpa stuff goes. Mfk
It has a dual bios. You won't - maybe even can't - brick it. That board was built for modding. I used Q-Flash btw.
Flashing a bios is dangerous, but it isn't a death sentence. Depends on the attention you give to it. If you prepare it well, it will go well!
