Thanks for your reply. I was aware of the 0501 mod but it has an Asus SLIC and I particularly want an HP SLIC for a couple of reasons; I have an HP Win 7Ult disk and a lovely HP case and monitor so it would be nice to have the cert, logo and licence all matching hence my request regards
Since you Created a new thread, Instead of Making a Proper Request in the Appropriate Request Thread, I assumed you were going to mod this yourself. That's why I linked to a working mod, so you could use the same method to make yours with an HP SLIC. If you want someone else to do this for you, Make a Proper Request in the Proper thread.
Thanks for your help I have now solved the problem. I had stupidly forgotten that the award tool must be run on the desktop or root for it to work. Anyway moved the tool and BINGO !! a modded BIOS that works.
