you want to open your case to look. on hardware device not mention it. device manager show ethenet under network adapter. you want use the modem to connect internet? that is it.
No, I need the brand of modem so I can can its drivers from website. Is there software trhat can do this? thx
I think it has the software for on cnet download DriverMax and it will take a little bit of time to get actual driver but it is free.
How does it work? Does it tell me the exact name of my modem? Does it find and install the driver for me?
it will find a list of drivers need to update. then you chose in the list for your modem and you download that driver, but it has a limit to number of drivers it give per day. then you install it after download.
I know this is probably obvious but I have had success with a modem in the past by using the update driver option in device manager and choosing the search online option. I'm assuming the modem has been detected and is present in the list of devices. It may be identified as a PCI serial controller or something similar. If it is an oem m/c you could look it up in the manufacturers support site and the drivers should be there, again I am sorry if this is too obvious.
Have you tried driver download programs like driver genius? They can help out. What is the name of the card? I might be able to search it dude.
I don't think that is what it is called dude, there is nothing on google for any piece of that info. Is there an OEM site or Motherboard site that represents your computer? I would also try driver tools to scan your computer. I know driver genius works well. Personally Driver Detective is the best one but that one is really hard to crack.
