Hello all and sorry for a real noob question.

I have an Asrock G41M-VS2 motherboard and the latest BIOS (v1.20) is downloaded as a .EXE file, even for DOS.

Is it possible to mod this BIOS with SLIC 2.1? Can this be done by running the .EXE file to flash the new BIOS and then saving the new BIOS from the motherboard back to disk and then uploading this to a site for an expert to modify?

Would appreciate any info on this.

You need to download the Instant Flash version i,e, G41M-VS2(1.20)ROM.zip when you unpacked it contains file named G41VS2_1.20 just load that into amitool162 and select asrock as bios type then you can add slic 2.1 and slp 1.0 string. instructions on how to update via Instant Flash are on asrock website make sure you rename G41VS2_1_SLIC.20 to G41VS2_1.20 before flashing.
