modifying clasic windows theme for windows 7

    Bugs? More like programmer's choice to me.

    Hi, yes that is why i used the "bugs". Maybe there is a way to patch it ? Ideas?

    you can set it up to your liking what colors will be used for what under classic theme settings

    Bug is a mistake metamorphism, debated among software developers. The old API is becoming depreciated and that is why i refered to it as a (interface) "bug", using the " " to indicate that is not really a bug, but leans toward being a bug because of the sloppyness of code maintaince ( see first screenshot ).

    Hi, yes that is what I did but ended up with what can bee seen in the second screenshot, fixing the layout colour in explorer problem but causing problems elsewhere in microsoft apps such as ms word.

    Ok, then maybe your best approach is to send a bug report to Microsoft and request a fix or patch.

    ah now I see what its bugging you
    problem is that some controls share the color, which I guess by now you figured it out :p

    so answer is NO, you can't change white color without affecting other programs, as ALL microsoft apps share same common controls, thus colors as well (since classic theme doesn't rely on .msstyle but built in shell values)
