In short: Is it possible to change the brand name and OEMBIOS files on an existing installed Windows XP ? Problem: An XP Pro SP3 installed 2 years ago with a CD modded VLK to OEM Hewlet Packard using OEMBIOS tools. Bios modded to HP. Is it possible to change from HP to Gigabyte without reinstalling Windows XP ? SLP1.0 into Bios is HP. (It is for a friend of mine, same Mobo, but Bios is Gigabyte with SLP1.0 , he does not want to flash the bios) So I have just to imaging my Partition and restore to his computer. ? Any advice appreciated.
ha! Always there Tito Thanks for link. This was the place where I looked first, but did not realize I could use it to change OEM "in the fly"... Yes it is the same Mobo same model. Mine is Modded HP. So no need to sysprep. maybe some drivers ... Thanks again
