Right now I get a lot of "not responding" messages on my PC. It has 5 GB of ram in it which I am sick and tired of getting. How much RAM would I need to add to stop seeing this message? I wouldnt want to spend some much on it so if someone could show me some prices with the RAM i need i would really appreciate it. I stream network tv shows that i missed on tv and watch it on it, browse the net, chat on skype and that is about it for net usage. Can someone help me out with my question. thx
5 is an odd number for RAM?. Sounds like you've got a cobbled together machine. Run CMD as Admin and throw in the following: Code: wmic baseboard get product,manufacturer,version,serialnumber Post back the M/B details
Which programs are giving you the "not responding" message? Could be something like antivirus causing issues with whatever you're trying to run. @HT: 5GB of RAM is probably 4GB + 2GB - system reserved.

You're the only person who knows WHAT apps you installed and need! That simply means: HELP YOURSELF!, because nobody else could! A simple guideline is: Install only what you know and need! Don't install anything you get your hands on!!
