    As we are waiting anxiously to see what MS would showcase in these 2 events, we are also anxious about the win8 beta.

    From what I gathered atm, the speculation is that win8 would enter beta stage around end June to early July, meaning more OEM's could get a release, and hopefully a leak may happen; and public beta is around end Aug to early Sept.

    There has been a general speculation that beta would be announced/released at PDC in September, I believe there is simply no ground for this speculation. Win7beta, win7RC and win7RTM were not announced/released at any event, MS just doesn't have the habit to move the date of these 3 world-wide news-breaking occassions to suit any kind of events.

    I hope that Microsoft will announce that a public beta will be released later this year!
