Motherboard Problems

    Hey

    My friend got an MSI H61M-P31 G3 motherboard. It's a complete new system but the screen dies after a while fans in the pc are still running.
    On one restart the motherboard buzzer gave 1 long and 2 short bleeps which from what I seen on the web is a gpu fault but we have tried it with 2 graphic cards and they both work. The gpu is a Radeon 7850. Any ideas to help solve this problem ?

    Is there onboard video and is it switched off when running the card?

    It sounds like a power supply problem.

    I would start by resetting the BIOS to defaults, and make sure that the power supply can handle the power of the MoBo / Graphics card combined.

    One more thing do you have power cable running to video card .. Had to ask :D
