I have been searching for hours on how to fix the mouse cursor disappearing in windows 7 and only come up with "turn on pointer trails", which does really fix the problem and is a irritation even when set to short.

I have just recently re-installed win 7 with sp1 and forgot about this problem. When I originally installed win 7 (almost 1 year ago) I had found a fix that had me edit a file that completely fixed this problem but cannot find anything on the web no matter how I type in my question.

I hope someone on here knows what I am referring to and can help.

Please help me, this is a huge problem for me.

    Many Thanks

Pointer trails were off by default for me. Had to turn them on to keep my cursor from disappearing. I don't like the pointer trails at all even with them set to short.
