Okay, so my mouse cursor is nowhere to be found. I've had to navigate with my keyboard to write this thread, any ideas? I have tried "search for new devices" or what it's called in Device Management, to no luck, also only using my keyboard.

did you check with another mouse? or other USB port?

Shut down PC, unplug AC cord for a minute and try again

I restarted my PC, which I weren't really going to do. (Just try to workaround that for fun.)
So... The Device Manager never stopped scanning strangely, and I got a good lecture in how to navigate Windows 8.1 without a mouse...

Edit: Also, many programs like STEAM and SKYPE took unusual long time to boot when I had the problem where the mouse didn't work. As well as Device Manager never finished scanning.

Mouse cursor works like expected now.
