Firefox was a good browser but since they changed to the new look i get an feeling that it is so bloated that i would rather use IE 10 and i always hated IE.

Comon Bro, Firefox is good and still good, and about the Style its cute and you can change the skin!! but this's not the criterion to decide cuz FF is fast, secured, light on system and more stable than all IE Editions or even IE10. Dude dont waste your time with IE cuz its Piece of Crap as usual o_O

Just when I started liking FF again, the damn thing crashed twice on me in 2 weeks, not good at all!

I think they should update more often, eh! (sarcasm)

Since FF 14 final/FF 15 beta, FF is crashing a lot/becoming unresponsive under windows 7 x86 (my office PC). Page loads and while it is loading, it becomes totally unresponsive. One has to close all windows and basically lose all the tabs. This is happening too often so much so that I cannot rely on FF. Sad after using it more than 5 years.

I have had no such problems using windows 7 x86 and FF 14.0.1

Could it be related to Flash. I am on FF 15b3 but the freeze and total unresponsiveness happens on 14.0.1 too. It is on win 7 pro x86 (office PC). No such problems on home pc (win 7 enterprise x64). This problem was not there on 14 betas and of course earlier. Tried everything including going to older versions of FF and Flash but no solution.

I'm not sure I though such problems would be down to individual web sites some do load slower than others.

It happens on almost all sites and so should not be a specific site problem. I guess I will have to backup my passwords (how???) and bookmarks in FF, uninstall (including preferences) it, and then build again.

I love FF at both home and work, but this is frustrating.

Seems cool and hope it works.
On a new install, I usually configure IE first and then FF. I ask FF to import bookmarks from IE but iE does not allow passwords to be transferred (is it so???)
FF can take time to customise and inputing passwords and asking it to remember. One configured, I find it better than Chrome and more suited to me.
After configuring FF, I install Chrome and ask it to import bookmarks and passwords from FF.

I have downloaded Mozbackup (zip no install), backed up everything. Then on a fresh totallly new FF install, do I just open up Mozbackup and ask it to restore from the saved file?. That would be great if it works. Save me 10-15 mins and some headaches.

To be honest I have never used I just copy C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox folder and everything is setup as before. same if you want to backup thunderbird settings you copy,
    C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird

A complete new install of FF did not solve the problem. However, what did solve it was disabling Shockwave Flash in plugin in FF 14.0.1. I have Flash 11.3.300.270 but the problem has been there for close to 2-3 weeks.

Any solutions to enabling Flash and not getting freezes.
