Hi OEM-USER Many thanks for info. I own a Medion MD8396 (E4320D) which has this mobo. SLIC 2.1 is indeed incorporated into the 10Q BIOS. Win7 installs without problem Thanks again.
@ OEM-USER My Medion PC (MD8396) shipped with BIOS version 10G (v1.0G) but I made the mistake of not backing up file Do you have a copy of BIOS file W7502IM7 V1.0G (W7502MLN.10G) that you could let me have? I have versions v1.0A, v1.0K, v1.0M & v1.0Q. Thanks in advance. zolth
Have v1.0J v1.0M v1.0Q have no V1.0G but see at Medion-Homepage, seek with you Medion-Nummber Medion Sticker (backside PC)
FYI: MS-7502 V1.0R BIOS is available! (msi-forum.de) BIOS date is 01/13/2010 (fresh from the oven). Of course SLIC 2.1 is included (since 1.0Q) so there is no modification needed (published Medion cert is still valid). Flashed 1.0R without any problems. Win7 is still activated without problems.
I've tried to use the Win98SE_Boot_CD_UK_SATA_CDROM.iso and added the exe and bios file to the image file using UltraIso. But when I boot the CD I can't find the exe and bios file among the boot files of the CD anymore in dos. Anyone knows why?
