Thank you for everything you do to help those of us who are technologically challenged and/or financially challenged. That said, I could use some advice/assistance. I recently wiped my laptop and reinstalled Windows 8 and then got all of the updates etc. Then I upgraded it to Windows 8.1. I had to do this because I was getting a message saying my Windows 8, which came installed on my HP 2000 Notebook PC, was expiring. Also, I downloaded MS Office 2013 from your uploaded files and now I am wondering if it is compatible with Windows 8.1 and if there is anything special I need to do to install it properly and avoid any future issues with my OS system. Could you please advise? I'd truly appreciate your help. Regards, Angel
In order to activate Office by KMS (Microsoft Toolkit or KMSpico from my signature) you'll need to install a Volume License (VL) version of Office. Was 'VL' mentioned it the thread you downloaded it from?
Hey S1ave77, Is it possible for a VL MS Office download and install to affect and change the version of Windows to a VL? I'm asking because I had had my laptop for almost a year when my Windows suddenly decided to try to expire and Microsoft informed that my Windows had a volume license...wrong version for a home laptop purchased at Walmart. That's why I had to completely redo everything from CD/DVD. So just wondering if doing this install will cause that issue with Windows...I know it sounds stupid but my laptop came with Windows 8 installed and I didn't think I had used a VL install of 8.1...This time I got 8.1 from the Windows store...
To have full control i'd recommend to use Microsoft Toolkit, start it and open the Office Toolkit via the little Office-button. On 'Activation' tab press 'EZ-Activator'. As long as there is no VL key installed for Windows, MTK won't touch it . Behavior of your Windows is kind of suspicious. Please provide output for (in admin command prompt): Code: cscript slmgr.vbs /dlv
