    Has anyone tried the XP Home OEM SLP keys on the collection of keys thread on an MSDN XP Home with SP3 image? I can't seem to get it to work not even during install or after install. It just gives me invalid key error. Help appreciated thanks

    The Asia keys require different pidgen.dll & dpcdll.dll and are attached in the key sticky thread.

    If you tried using English keys and none took, just try a Asia key instead and you wont have to swap files. This is assuming you have a true OEM disk.

    Have not tried replacing pidgen.dll yet but VLKtoOEM and VLK2OEM both gave a CRC error during the process and ended up getting a Windows Product Activation error during startup and logoff by force. Asia keys doesn't work aswell :(

    Do not replace any dll files from my Corporate To OEM Utility.
    This utility only contains Professional files, you got Home.

    Did you forget to edit your setupp.ini to accept OEM keys ?
    If so edit it like this:(Example)

    [Pid]
    ExtraData=786F687170637175716954806365EF
    Pid=76487000

    Change the last 3 digits in bold to OEM, like this:

    [Pid]
    ExtraData=786F687170637175716954806365EF
    Pid=76487OEM

    Now it accepts OEM keys.

    The pro keys will work a long as the pidgen and dpcdll are changed..I have tested them with home...they work well..

    Could there be a difference for the "4 oemfiles" between home and professional? I downloaded them from the oem files thread and I got the HP one since my SLP string is Hewlett-Packard.

    setupp.ini ends with OEM. Anyway I solved the problem by making a new disc with the existing restore image from the manufacturer. Key accepted just fine. Thanks alot guys.
