Ordered HP oem version of 2008 R2 Foundation version and come to learn it is system dependant for HP. Can I mod the AMI bios on my MSI G41 so it can be installed? When booting from the cd, message "Validating HP Platform" then "This system is not supported platform" Help!
Is it possible to trick the HP oem 2008 R2 Foundation edition into thinking the AMI MSI bios is a HP system. I have already run the AMItool 1.51 and output a modded bios and flashed it with the AFUwin program and the system boots fine but still get "This system is not supported platform" when booting off the HP OEM disc. Can someone point me to a thread related to this procedure if it is even possible to do.
