MUI XP Home

    I have a couple of questions. First, can I install English MUI into a Japanese version of Windows XP Home Edition. Second, Can I turn the XP Home into Pro? I have a Pro setupreg.hiv file from an English version of Windows XP. I am not sure if I can apply a setupreg.hiv from one language onto another. Thanks.

    And why bother?

    Just install Pro from fresh!

    Not very difficult, links are everywhere here

    The main reason is I know my Japanese XP Home does not have a virus, because it was actually bought from a store.

    And our Pro dics doesnt have any either beacuse they're from MSDN, check SHA1 against MSDN's website.

    Thank you Oz. I am paranoid because I got infected with a virus on a bootleg copy of Windows XP Pro English. And yes, I have a lack of knowledge, that is why I am here.

    By the way, it is possible to throw in an English Pro setupreg.hiv onto a Japanese XP Home?
