Did what you're suggesting last Friday on a new Shuttle Barebones I put together for my neighbor.
They wanted to run XP (new PC will be strictly used for business only), so I booted from USB modded the BIOS before OS install with the venerable ASUS SLIC 2.1 (iirc) which also has SLP info in it. The XP Pro install from the Multi-OEM disk went perfectly without asking for a SN!

You shouldn't extract the ISO files. Burn directly the ISO files using burning programs of your liking which support ISO burning ( which all of the burning programs probably willl). If you like use the free soft ImgBurn, its a great burning soft and its totally free.

I have intermittent problems with my isp and encountered some errors downloading. Can I please request a hash so that I can verify if the download went well? If possible... Thank you.

You dont need to extract files, just burn the ISO with CdBurnerXp/Nero and also set the dvdrw to be primary boot device in your bios.

Thanks, worked great on my dell laptop.

One clarification if I may, after burning the iso, I scanned the dvd and I got a warning that says this... "TrojanDownloader:Win32/Troxen!rts" setkey.exe . It's located in the oem folder. Is that a false positive?
