After windows install, how the hell do i insert xp oemslp key?

I used the MS OEMSLPkey from this thread, installation worked but after when it asks for activation it says unauthorized key..

    XP Professional SP3 was installed.
I didnt use a oemspecific iso, i downloaded a general xp oem iso from demonoid.com.

Thinking i could download a general xp oem iso and use oemslp keys with it but maybe thats not possible ?

mmm... does Vista or Windows 7 activate with just a OEM:SLP key? (Sorry being sarcastic)

Anyway all brands you say... this would be about a thousand brands and we only have about 100 oembios sets, so do the math

What is happening with oembios.exe you say it don't work on your system are you running x64 i already replied use a bootable usb thumbdrive or is oembios.exe running but to showing manufacturer name that is because you won't have slp1.0 you need to add it with dmi boot cd.

    uhm what ?
Im not using oemscan kit yet, i tried xp 32bit ofcourse.

Im not lookin into to running xo on my laptop but just trying the oemslp key would work anyway (now obviously it doesnt without oembios files) on my general oem iso..
    Im just "playin round" alittle..

you may know it has SLP string but you still need to run oembios.exe to find exact crc: ans slp string if you don't have the HP cd because there are more than 1 set of HP oembios files.

I know:) I have those oembios files too.

As i wrote, i was thinking i could activate xp using OEMSLP keys on a general xp oem iso (not oem specific like hp, dell etc) but that wasnt good beacuse i need those oembios files.

    It was just a longshot.
