Just wondering whether it's at all possible to create a multiboot USB flash drive containing more than one Win7 installs. Would be nice if I could stick a XP install there as well for that matter...

I have a 16GB Apacer USB flash drive available for testing.

Use Winsetupfromusb. As long as you have removed ei.cfg from sources folder of Win 7 iso you will be able to install any version of Win 7 and you can also install XP. Plus you can add boot progs like True Image, partition tools etc. I used it to partition and format my HD and then installed Win 7, worked great.
