so i have been noticing a couple things with windows and and my mp3 library... i have been having troubles navigating to the folder i have my music in before i convert them all to WMA format. explorer takes a long time to load the folder contents is it because its syncing the MP3 formats to the cloud? if so how do i stop this or what am i doing wrong?

Why converting a nice mp3 format into crappy WMA? To me, only two versions are acceptable, one is full wave/CD formate or flac or to be most flexible mp3/ (aac plus ? fishy) It depends on how to use these files and therefore, I cannot really deal with your question. My W8 "player" reads all mp3 without being converted to WMA, so ...

This is a terrible idea because you're making a lossy encode from an source already encoded in a lossy format. Doing this only reduces audio quality.
