    Personally i swear by Orion.

    Yeah, its not as 'feature-rich' (read bloated) as say Cubase but it is a pleasure to work with and so far it always got the job done.

    If you are primarily working with VST/VSTi i dont think youll be disappointed.

    I really miss the days of Ejay and MTV music generator,
    where you had the musical blocks and allign them how you want or modify them to create a tune.

    Even the playstation versions were sweet.

    Phazor is right. Cubase is the best but u need VST and VSTI softwares. What kind music do u want to do?
