    Hello All,
Just to share with you, ever since I have upgraded my Windows Operating System from Windows XP to Windows 7, I got a lot of computer issues. Just recently, I am having a problem with my Device Manager. Whenever I access it, I am getting a pop up that my Device Manger is disabled.
I am thinking, before this happened, my Lenovo laptop was attacked by a virus, which I can’t remember the name. I was able to fix the virus, by updating my Antivirus software and running a whole system scan, but it left a problem though I am not sure.
Can anybody help me on how to get my Device Manager working? My login is the administrator in the PC.

    Thanks In Advance

A friend of mine had a very similar problem with windows XP some times ago: device manager was completely blank!
I searched for virus/spyware/trojan in that computer but nothing......the solution was very simple:
the service named "Plug and Play" was disable and not running at startup!

So the solution was simply enable that service and set it automatically running at startup (from services.msc)
