I have a C: drive (SSD) where my OS is installed and I use the E: drive (HDD) to install everything else.

What happened: I had just downloaded a game via uTorrent and left the installer running. Since it was taking up quite a long time to finish the install I left my room and when I returned I noticed the installer window was gone, so I thought maybe it closed by itself after installing. When I tried to access the game folder in the E: drive I noticed it was completely gone.

I have tried to use System Restore and I also ran an antivirus check on the files before installing, so I don't think it was the game that caused it, but I don't know...

What can I do to try to get my E: drive back?

additional info: The E: drive won't show in the Disk Management window, windows version is 8.1. No previous problems before the drive was gone, it suddenly happened.

edit: so IDK what happened, I was at the BIOS setup and I wanted to take a screenshot of the page but my PC froze. So I was forced to shutdown pressing the power button. When the PC restarted the E: drive returned. I just checked the drive for errors but Windows says there is none. I don't even know what's going on right now! I still would like an opinion on what might have caused this issue?
