The thing I like the most is that Microsoft changed "My Computer" to "This PC." I'm just blown away by how much more useful this change has made my computer. This is the greatest advance in personal computing since Microsoft Bob. If 8.1 was not going to be a free update, I would pay whatever Microsoft wanted to charge to buy a copy just so I could have "This PC."
You do realise that Windows 7 says "Computer", it doesn't say "My Computer". So this would be the 3rd time its changed.
Dude, they just being polite and not wanting to say "our mutter phuking computer" take it with a grain of salt
<sarcasm>Whaaaaaaaa Why did they canged that? Now I can't access my Computer in a fast way like MS did it with the StartButton in Win8 and then I couldn't find all my installed applications. Nowhere to be found </sarcasm> If you realy want to by for Winows 8.1 MS is certently not preventing you from it. For all the Windows 8 haters: If you don't like this renaming you always can go back to Windows 7
Microsoft has a habit of changing things just for the sake of change and not because it was an improvement. They like to keep their customers off balance. That's why we have to hunt for the tips and tricks that it takes to make the OS run as well as it is capable of running. Why isn't it tuned that way out of the box?
<sarcasm>Well if nothing changes how the hell this Tips-and-Tricks-Professionals sell new products? If they have nothing new to write about then to will get poor and nobody want's that.</sarcasm> In my oppinon the default settings of Windows (of nearly all later Windows-Versions) are the best for average Joe more or less PC-user. From my supporting-days I had many problems with heavyly modified Windows-Installations which got installed by Windows-Wisperers. In the end only troubles and not worth the time to put into the modifications of these Windows-Wisperers. Also every system-cleaning-tools (like ccleaner and alike) do with these userers more harm than good.
My favourite thing in windows 8.1: if I have win 8, do not have to pay for using it. Would not have paid anyway for using this s..t (paid for technet and windows 8).
LOL.. reminds me of this one.... ... loosely translated = Obviously they haven't built the "This key works" routine into set-up....
I see I've just stumbled into the Windows h8 thread for sarcasm. I can't think of anything sarcastic right now... Guess I'll put in a fap and call it a night...
