Just purchased my first server, hp proliant with athlon 1.3ghz and 1gig ram. Looking to use WHS on it. Can I use the trial from m$ website and configure it so trial doesn't expire? The m$ site states no keys are enterable for that particular download. Also , will I have any issue installing from bootable USB stick? My aims for the server are as a NAS and download machine and backup solution.

Or is the CD_IMAGE rebuild a crucial step?
