Install the SSD in a Notebook, and run a bench mark attained the following results.
Writing speed is below 80Mb/s that bothers me.
The notebook comes with 64bit Win 7 home premium and other pre-loaded programs.
CPU is I5-2430M with 4Gb ram.
Solution/advice to the problem is most welcome and appreciated.

Its SATA 6Gb/s, as far as I know there is no support in laptops boards. Been there done that. Stick with SATA II
I bought one few months ago 550/500 and after testing it was around 100/80

    Thx for the feedback.
So my ssd's performance is about right; there is nothing to worry about for a 420/79 read and write speed respectively.

    Thread #4 & #5

Thank for explaining the unique features of SSD that large capacity SSD has a better writing speed.
    I should have brought a 120GB than a 60GB.
