MY Windows 10 Search Bar is Missing

You don't really need the search bar, just press the Windows key and start typing or paste.

If you right click on the taskbar you will find a setting called search -- you have a few different options of whether to hide it or or make it small or large

 

Right click taskbar and enable it.

 

When I've been using 10 on college computers, I much prefer to use the search bar for any app I need to access. Better than to evoke the Start Menu bloated with tiles everywhere.

Also, how can the search bar go missing all of a sudden? Would a recent update cause this?
