My computer motherboard fried. Still on warranty, i've change it for the exact same model same brand same ....but now my windows in not activated. I've used the method, when windows 8 came out, with kms and getting a legit WMC key. Is there anyway to put it back "legit" and removing the stamp? I have save the windows store folder. If i put it back, is my windows will be back on track or do i have to use the Kms or the spico? Lievre
After changing my MB some month ago i needed to reactivate my WMC key via phone. Code: slui 4 BTW: Even a same brand/model will have different MAC, so deactivation is normal .
if you didn't get the new motherboard from your OEM and bought a new one on your own, then no it will not work the same. The motherboard that came with the system had the key embedded into the bios. The only way to get back to factory setup is to get a motherboard from your OEM after they enter a key into it and send it to you. Calling MS is also another solution as S1ave has post.
If i get it right his old board didn't have an MSDM table. OP used the old WMC exploit for activation (like myself did) .
