Where is the modded Opera Presto version? I unfortunately couldn't find it. Would be great for my Win9x , NT4, 2000 and XP machines.
OK, thanks, but I think I'll pass. Thought it was a mod that could be retraced to what has been done. My current browser used on old systems (Winternight Classic) supports TLS 1.2 and is listed as "Probably OK" on the SSL test page, after some configuration work.
Most things are pretty readable mods on css and so on, then yes there are also few fix on operadll itself. But, my question, as usual is. How much people you think really checked the source of something big like a browser? Is mypal or even a bigger project like palemoon really safer than a binary patched browser? Just to give you some metrics... the Vivaldi team, (at the time 35 of the best browser programmers out there) spent SIX MONTS just to remove the large part of the google spyware from the chromium's engine (which in turn is already way cleaner than Chrome). In short I use Opera 12, also on modern systems, being by far the best browser ever made, but for sure, in 2022 I don't use it for home banking or alike. That said, Opera in 2022 is likely safer than everything else against generic malware, abusive mining tool and so on, just because nobody use it nowadays, hackers don't care about it, and most of the malware simply doesn't work.
Same here, perhaps updates are need up to 2019 for 64 bit version ? ... 32 bit version diden't work without Sp3.
