Hi, I always find MYXML file appearing in the C Drive when i start my PC at the end of the day when i delete it and start my PC again the next day it appears again please help me to fix this snapshots provided OS Windows 8.1 Enterprise Edition 64bit Please help me to fix it. Warm Regards Trojan
You should see if it is the same file just reappearing over and over. You can do so by checking the properties. If it is the same file then I am not sure what could be the problem. If it is a different file each time then you've got something creating it. What are the contents? They could lead to what is creating the file. Check your start up. Open Task Manager and click on Startup- disable what you think shouldn't be starting. Look in this directory: Code: C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup for programs that start on boot/login. Look in here: Code: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] There are more startup locations but start there.
HI Humphrey I checked with the startups they are non but realtek is on startup but again the problem is when i shutdown on switched on my PC i finding the same MY XML file again
Hi paul, The files still appears when in delete and then restart my PC again the file appears Let me reset my windows 8.1 and try again
yes, I read that the file re-appears on every startup. I want to know what the file reads. Open it and read it. perhaps there you can find its source
Reset windows? Even by googling the partial filename you show (how can people keep extensions turned off...) suggests it's an open source, third party library. It has nothing to do with windows. One of your running applicatons is using this myxml library which creates its log under C:\. Solution #1: Find which program does this. The most fool-proof solution is probably doing a file syystem search for myxml.dll. In whose directory you find it is the program you're looking for. Solution #2: Right click on the file, select properties, tick hidden, press apply. Then just forget it.
You can try to find the handle from this file with ProcessExplorer (CTRL-F, Type the file name in there, hit Search).
