I tried acpiscope on 2 clean installs of Vista x64 SP2 and Win 7 x64 RTM and it doesn't work on either (works fine under XP in vmware, but that's no help). All I get is a "Driver failed to start" error message. That's with the latest trial version from their wesite, tested on both a Core 2 Duo and a Athlon64 X2.
hey azzy, did you come up with a solution yet? even with the stock bios, there is no slic table. However, in slictool128, it says the stock bios has slic 2.0 . I am confuse.
I changed 3 options under advanced: -Checked "Replace 1B module" -Unchecked "Only replace OEM ID in additional tables" (2nd from the top) -Checked "Replace split OEM/Table ID strings" (2nd from the bottom) Then pick a SLIC 2.1/SLP, dynamic and hit go.
Tnx. I'll try for PK5L-AM. An idea for andyp...why don't make "save advanced profiles" and "load advanced profiles" so i can share all settings easily?
