I guess the title says it all. For some reason I can't install Alcohol 120 on my Netbook (Blue Screen on reboot during install) so I can mount and play ISO movies. Isobuster keeps telling me it's registered, but then says I need a key to play a whole movie (instead of one VOB at a time). I have a key, but since it says it's already registered, I can't enter it! Any suggestions?
@ the Seeker....Just noticed you avater...."Bill Hicks" ......I bow to his humour.......Now he was funny...
OK. Unless I'm missing something here, VLC does not play .iso files. It also doesn't appear to play .vob files. Anyone else have any suggestions? Even a paid program would be ok as I could probably find a crack for it!
Maybe if you mount the ISO the files inside will be accessible to play. Have you tried extracting the contents. Usually an ISO is just a way of transferring data over the net. Is this answering your question or is there something else I need to understand?
Mount the iso with free DAEMON Tools Lite and play each VOB file by Media Player Classic [by installing K-Lite Mega Codec Pack].....
This is one of the best tools out there use deamon tools like the man says I use it to mount blu-ray iso's and play them with Powerdvd 10....
Wrong VLC will play ISO files i just tried it as tnx said it plays almost anything no need for running other programs like deamon tools to mount the iso just open the dvd movie iso and it will play.
Thanks, but what you're suggesting is just what I'm trying to do. Isobuster will mount the ISO file, but it won't allow me to play it. I downloaded Daemon Tools and DVDfab and will give them a try.
I must have done something wrong then 'cause it didn't work for me. When I clicked on the ISO file, all I got was a warning saying it couldn't play that type of file. I also clicked on the VOB file and nothing at all happened!
When I do that, here is what I get: "No suitable decoder module: VLC does not support the audio or video format "undf". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this." Either that or absolutely nothing happens.
