When you mount a ISO, and run the install will it give you the option to format the partition?

I always burned to a DVD so i never tried it.

Obviously you cannot format the partition when this partition holds the image.

Thats kind of like sitting on a tree and sawing off the branch youre sitting on.

    *raaaahhhhhhhh...*

Normally it wont. And it shouldnt.

    Thats a great idea actually.

Get a 4GB stick and use that, its way faster than disk too...

I'll probably just make another partition on there hard drive so it will give them time to get all there stuff off there original install. Then format that partition later.

    Mods can Lock/Move/delete this Thanks.

I see it being rather impossible to shring partition without a CD drive (unless one runs Mac OS X)

So you do not have USB CD to lend them?

No i figured it out she over reacted. It was the OGA that was failing on windows update she made it sound like her computer was going to crash. So, i know there is a fix for it i just don't remember where i seen it on here.

What i was planing on doing was mount the ISO with daemon tools, make another partition and install on that partition until she got her stuff off there. But there is no need now that i know what the issue was.
