I bought a Dell Optiplex GX270 back in 05, and It had a Windows XP Pro COA and Disc. The disc is unusable now due to being severely scratched up. I need to reinstall Windows. Does anyone have a working Dell OEM Windows XP Pro disc they can upload somewhere for me? Preferably Mega.co.nz?
Sadly I cannot use torrents. I have Comcast, and well, you know. Everytime I launch a torrent, My internet disconnects. Comcast then sends a warning to me. Comcast is cracking down on P2P.
check your private messages. anyone verify dell iso hashes? Code: File: DELL.iso CRC-32: a99bd4bc MD4: 518f1290a564a33b2240f928c536c713 MD5: 0d12b7c5d6314a3d4712d9a974dc982a SHA-1: cfade3ff6ab049235b79dc128d4c18eca1ba6cab
I have a old Dell Windows XP MCE ISO I made of my original disk from back n the day. Or so I say. Went looking for it and do not see it. :/
I have Code: ================================================== Filename : DELL_XP_PRO_SP3.ISO MD5 : c4f614efbedc423b77bbd7b7b6df8368 SHA1 : dd588e792ec5f4def5ca5bacf83854c461e86030 CRC32 : cd1ad34c File Size : 625,752,064 ================================================== I also have delta file to go from en_windows_xp_professional_with_service_pack_3_x86_cd_x14-80428 to DELL_XP_PRO_SP3.ISO I think it was originally posted by OZ.
Thanks urie, I found that I think. DLing to verify then can link it. I trust your hash more than one I just happened to find. -ed- nope that wasn't it. Ill need look tomorrow. It's time for bed since I need be up early for work. Sorry about that ccrogers15, time isn't on my side tonight.
No worries at the end of the day the disk is a dell OEM cd and not a home made one with just oem bios files added. I checked version file from $OEM$ folder Code: ENG PRO SP3 Mon 08/18/2008 - 10:46:23.90 Drivers: R78255 R91059 R91792 R194299 R178505 R188938 R165680 R165652 R82920 R196323 "R208058" R230627
The disc worked fine and was pre activated, however, this is not an official dell disc. The serial key for my PC did not work, and neither did the built in one. I had to bypass it. This is a warez group modified disc. Even the installer has the warez group logo watermarked into it.
well thats a bummer. you can create an oem with oem files from here. I have one, but the hash doesn't match Urie. If you like I can UL it for you to look at.
If you don't want to have worries, on getting an original XP Pro SP3 OEM, updating until August 2013, adding .net frameworks, IE 8 and WMP11, and copying your OEM Files according to your bios to get pre activated, just download XP Black Edition August 2013, I have already tried, it has ZERO virus and problems, is the best edition you can get with hassle-free edition made by a person, who truly understands what he/she is doing
Search for MD5 or SHA1 hashes Code: ================================================== Filename : DELL_XP_PRO_SP3.ISO MD5 : c4f614efbedc423b77bbd7b7b6df8368 SHA1 : dd588e792ec5f4def5ca5bacf83854c461e86030 CRC32 : cd1ad34c File Size : 625,752,064 ================================================== I can assure you this is an Original Dell XP Pro SP3 cd @ Viggen66, we also understand what we are doing if ccrogers15, had a bit more knowledge and read the stickies he could make up his own OEM:SLP dell cd which would pre-activate. We prefer to teach or encourage members on how make there own cd and to activate via OEM:SLP method rather than download modified ISO files. As for your so called XP Black Edition August 2013 then total garbage, no crack needed then they use WGA cracked. He has a genuine Dell computer so no need for so called VLK or WGA hactivations all that is required are dell OEMBIOS files and OEM:SLP key to GENUINELY pre_activate his system considering you have been a member since 2011 I though you would have learned something by now. If at all possible MDL will always go for genuine activation.
urie, I understand that building our own ISO is a way better than using these tools, namely with the OEM SLP, it can't go wrong and you have a legit Windows installation with no problems at all, I my self am I user of this new method, which I have learned from this forum, I never though this could be so easy, and I'm now using a Pre Activated Home Edition custom made for my computer, of course it can't be used for a DELL, since mine is a Toshiba, but I thought ccrogers15 was a newbie in here, and some people are not to keen on making these changes from a ISO, but the first step is to get a genuine XP Home or Professional SP3 ISO, with matching MD5 from official sources
urie, tell me something, how can you make XP copy all the logos and oem info, after installation, is there a way for XP to do that automatically? Like making an OEM folder, and some ini file?
$OEM$\$$\system32 put OEMinfo.ini and OEMLogo.bmp in this folder. Follow the oem ISO tutorial. The $OEM$ folder will hold all the files to be executed at T13 or thereabouts (although my memory is a bit sketchy with the ETOH on board)
