Hi everyone, got the acer BIOS files from the bios repository and injected it into a legit xp pro disk and it wont take the oem key on the side of the case as well as the SLP key. Any suggestions? (also tried to download an acer xp pro disk but it failed to unrar)

You need to recompress the files to .Cab files. To just put them to the cd will not work.

These is a step by step in this XP forum somewhere..If you need it.

You basically just make a folder to the root drive (C:/cab)
Put the files to the folder
cd to the folder in a command promt (cd\cab)
    Then at prompt....makecab OEMBIOS.BIN,
    makecab Oembios.CAT
    ... etc.....

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...

    911medic is correct..

Have you replaced-modified the original SETUPP.INI file? Can you also post the info inside your SETUPP.INI file if not?

May need to do some other changes depending on your Windows source.

Also, is the Acer a laptop or desktop?
